OnePlus 9 leak's upcoming 2021 flagship

The OnePlus 9 probably won't show up until spring 2021, well we must be thankful for some pictures that PhoneArena has published recently, and we won't need to hang tight that long for a brief look at it. Completing with unique pre-prod branding, the images are of an alleged prototype device, and few software screengrabs uncover some additional detail regarding the upcoming flagship.

The screen of the OnePlus 9 looks like OnePlus will stay with the flat display design is utilized in the OnePlus 8 and 8T, and with a hole punch camera in the upper left corner, the 9 has a flat 6.55-inch display. According to PhoneArena, the 9's screen with a 120Hz refresh rate is a 2400 x 1080 panel.

The OnePlus 8 Pro's display screen includes a design curving around the phone's edges, which was founded to lead to more unintentional touches than happened with the usual flat form.

Additionally, the pre-prod device seems to include the chipset of choice a Snapdragon 888 processor for 2021 flagship phones, and it leads into another recently released OnePlus 9 feature known as 5G.

The specifications gathered from this early look don't part with accurate details regarding camera sensor focal length or resolution; however it appears to be likely that two of the back cameras found in photographs will be ultrawide and standard wide modules. The third could be a depth-sensing or macro camera.

With respect to imaging hardware, the pictures show a camera knock pushed to the upper left corner of the device's back. Additionally, there's a new "Ultrashot" marking on the bump not seen on past models; however, it might stay on the last gadget.

Some other details include Android 11 with Oxygen OS, a 4500 mAh battery, and a version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage; there will probably be an alternative with an alternate memory setup. Yet for the OnePlus 9, there's no confirmed release date; however, the company's timetable for past launches — and the circumstance of this leak — is pointing to early spring 2021.
